Mendoza to La Paz
-better late than never.

Ok. So haven"t been an effective blogwriter. BUT, this only means that we had a lot of fun, and lack of good internetconnection ![]()
After Buenos Aires we`ve been travelling much less European style. And it has been AMAZING. Started with winebicyclingtours in Mendoza where we got drunk while wisiting bodegas-yes on a bicycle. AND I tasted the best tapenade i`ve ever tasted. A tour in the andes mountains showed us s great nature as in NOrway. But even more spectacular. Saw Aconcagua raising 6000 meters above sealevel. And Cristo Redentor at the border between Chile and Argentina, 4000 mas!
From Salta we saw the BEUTIFUL valley, Quebrada de Cafayate. The nature is amzing, and so far from Norway you can´t imagine. There`s cactuses over 10 m, and rockformations I only can dream about.
Salta was our last stor in Argentnia, and Tupiza our first in Bolivia. In tupiza we decided, why not spend 7 hours on a horseback. And so we did. Since we re very experienced horsebackriders theese hours was felt more than one day. But...it was a perfect way of seeing the nature. And very fun. Thanks Tobacco, my beutiful white horse who knew how to speed up, unlike other horses.
Then, my highlight was coming up. The jeeptour from tupiza to Uyuni. Here we travelled with jeep in the end of the andesmountains, up to 5060 meters over sea. There was volcanos, high mountains, lamas.... the only thing we were in lack of, was a road! We crossed rivers, we drove in mud..and when the way suddenly was blocked by a huge rock, and it wasn`t possible to push it away..the bolivians, with help from some gringos, made a road. We almost fell over at one point. But at least we didn`t spend 24 hours 4000 mas in a mudhole without food as some locals did. And still, theyre happy! I know i woudnt be!!!
The last day we visited Salar the uyuni, the biggest saltflat in the world. And this is everything you hear people say it is, and more. It`s endless white beutiful dessert made out of salt from vaporized lake.
The jeeptour was sometimes scary when youre name is Raggamuffin (not rags) but the people, the nature, the lack of security and the amazing jeep, wich was called gringo feliz made it soooo worth it.
Then it was La paz, one of Bolivias capitals (chew on this one). The city is 3600 meters above sea and is built between mountains. Its hard walking the streets because the low oxygenlevels (miss oxygen). Here we did some shopping (yes, of course, seven instruments is needed).
We needed some more stamps in our passport and took a week in Arica, Chile where we didn`t do anything else than chilling at the beach!! And it was warm..theres oxygen!!
Back in la paz. Had since last time we were n La Paz been dreaming about this big drum. So had to buy it.´
Me, Ingrid an Ozzi (an extremly funny german guy) cycled the death road (it was to scary for others). This is the most dangerous road in the entire world. This you can see cause of the crosses where people had died, it was a lot of them!!!! The mountainbikeride went from 4700 meter down to 1200 meters above the sea. The nature, again, is AMAZING!!! This made it a little difficult paying attention on the road, but luckily we did`t fall a single time. AND, the most important thing, I WAS FIRST!!!! (not a competition, hah...) Will prove it when i get the pic online!!
Travelling through south america has been a beutiful, and perfect experience. Seen so many nice places, did so many funny stuff and met a lot of amazing people. So, thanks places, buses, animals, food, and people. You made my journey!
And, last, but not least, thanks to the amazing girls I`ve been travelling with (not eeryone would have been so patient, wich is extremely needed, especially when I get hungry). You guys are the best.
